01 Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, texting our number, or otherwise using SOSLogs ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Athens Innovation and Development LLC, operating SOSLogs at soslogs.org.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

02 Platform Purpose & Limitations

SOSLogs provides a digital documentation tool for individuals to record personal safety concerns, incidents, and communications in a timestamped, secure environment.

03 User Responsibilities

By using SOSLogs you agree to:

• Submit only records based on your direct, factual knowledge
• Not use the Platform to harass, defame, stalk, or target individuals maliciously
• Not submit knowingly false or misleading information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws

04 SMS Messaging Terms

SOSLogs operates an SMS documentation service via toll-free number 1-888-799-5647.

• Opt-in: By texting our number you consent to receive confirmation messages from SOSLogs
• Message types: Confirmation replies only — no marketing messages
• Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe
• Help: Reply HELP for assistance
• Frequency: One message per log submission
• Rates: Message and data rates may apply

05 PII & Third Party Information

Records you submit may contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) about yourself or third parties. You acknowledge and understand:

• Do not include Social Security Numbers, financial account numbers, or medical records
• Records about third parties may constitute personal data under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy laws
• You are responsible for ensuring your submissions comply with applicable privacy laws
• SOSLogs is not responsible for the content of user-submitted records

06 Data Sharing with Law Enforcement

SOSLogs may share records with law enforcement under the following circumstances:

• Valid court orders, subpoenas, or other legally binding legal process
• Situations involving imminent danger to a person
• Investigations of platform abuse or illegal activity conducted through the Platform

SOSLogs does not proactively share user data with law enforcement absent a legal obligation.

07 Data Retention & Deletion

Records are retained while your account is active. Upon cancellation, records are deleted within 90 days. To request immediate deletion contact admin@soslogs.org. Billing records are retained as required by law.

08 Subscription & Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice to registered users.

09 Prohibited Use

You may not use SOSLogs to:

• Submit false reports or fabricated documentation
• Harass, stalk, or target individuals
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other user accounts
• Reverse engineer or copy the Platform

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

10 Disclaimer of Warranties

SOSLogs is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that records will be preserved indefinitely. Use the Platform as a supplemental documentation tool, not as your sole means of record keeping.

11 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Athens Innovation and Development LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of SOSLogs, including loss of data or records.

12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in Tarrant County, Texas.
